This may be the nerdiest damn thing I've ever done.
Regardless... best birthday treat EVERRRR.
There was a Doctor Who Exhibition in London for the past few months, which I was lucky enough to get to go to this weekend, just before it closes on Wednesday.
It's a mix between an exhibition and an interactive "experience" where you get to travel in the TARDIS, you can stand around the control panel and control the navigation/mechanics etc (except that for me that would have involved elbowing small children out of the way, and making 7 year olds cry probably wasn't the "experience" they were aiming for..
) you get captured by the Daleks, who appear out of smoke and try to exterminate you, you have to go through a room of weeping angels trying not to blink and there's an epic 3D montage of DW monsters at the end. And through out all of that you are guided by video/audio of Matt Smith/Eleven who calls you a "sub-species of human.. called 'Shoppers'"..
It was so cute!
And the pics above are of the exhibition space, which had all the main costumes of Doctors and companions, as well as various monsters and TARDIS interiors.. oh my goodness, I totally geeked out the whole time. And thanks to my unofficial photographer, my mum.
Without whom I woudln't have a single photo of myself being a spaz, to show.
Did any other Whovians go to this?
And did you have fun?
That's all, just wanted to show you these pics, since they're goofy.
