The Year Gone By

These are the christmas presents I gave to my dad, mum and sister - they represent the strengths they've shown in the past year (even if 'Adventure' doesn't work so well as a strength or virtue...) My dad travels a lot and tries new things constantly, taking risks but thankfully coming home safely; my mum needs patience with many aspects of her life these days; her work, her family and helping friends and relatives go through many hardships this year. My sister is a little older than me and is finding her way in life, learning many different things and starting a career so endeavour seemed the best word to sum that up.

I used one of my fav artists Arthur Rackham [link] as inspiration for the fairytale style, with my own twist for the colour and layout etc...
